Original Art

Art created in proximity to conflict. A reflection on fear, coexistence, and the persistence of everyday life.

“Between Sirens and Kindness” began during the first war between Israel and Iran in 2025 and continued, after a brief interruption, throughout the events of 2026. Experiencing war directly introduced a profound sense of vulnerability. For the first time, the artist confronted a state in which control was no longer possible, only trust, presence, and endurance. Rather than resisting this condition, the work emerged from within it, transforming fear into a visual language.

In a reality marked by sirens, alerts, and uncertainty, daily life continued to unfold. Cafés remained open, conversations persisted, and small rituals were preserved. People gathered, walked their dogs, shared meals, and held onto moments of normalcy. Within this context, a quiet form of bravery became visible, not as spectacle, but as continuity.

As the process developed, this tension between anxiety and tenderness became central to the work. The compositions reflect a state of coexistence between opposing conditions: fear and calm, fragility and resilience, interruption and routine. Each gesture holds traces of this duality, where the weight of external events meets the persistence of inner life.

The collection does not aim to depict war directly, but to register its psychological and emotional presence. “Between Sirens and Kindness” is a body of work about learning to exist within instability, to breathe within uncertainty, and to recognize moments of care and connection even under threat.

Through this work, the artist reflects on the act of choosing life, not as a grand statement, but as a series of small, continuous gestures. Each piece becomes a record of presence, shaped by the tension between anxiety and kindness, and by the decision to remain open to both.
